Yolanda “Vi” Consalvo
(nee Vadino) On April 3, 2019 of Washington Twp., formerly of Philadelphia. Age 92. Beloved wife of the late Samuel. Devoted mother of Steven (Peggy), Robert (Joanne), Ronald (the late Michele) and Philip (Barbara). Loving grandmother of Andrea, Robert, Denise, Nicole, Anthony, Danielle, Philip, Alexa and Samantha. Proud great-grandmother of Austin, Shane, Kendall, Greyson and Levi.
Vi was a hard working and extremely generous woman. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and prayed every day. She was born into a big family and loved hosting family gatherings. It gave her a reason to cook. Cooking was one of her favorite things to do. As her sons grew older and had families of their own she loved hosting all of her extended family on holidays. She hosted and cooked all of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve until she was almost 90.
If you were friend or family or someone she just met, upon entering her house she would sit you and the kitchen table and get you something to eat. When her sons were younger she would make pizza from scratch almost every Friday night and various kids from the neighborhood would be fed.
Vi was a great friend. Whether you knew her for years or 5 minutes she would treat you like you were a life long friend.
Vi would literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Along with her Husband Sam, they always had some charitable event going on.
She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday 6:00-8:00 pm and Monday 8:15-9:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp.
