William H. Lloyd, Jr.
On June 22, 2023 of Washington Twp. Age 86. Beloved husband of Emma (nee Lathrop). Devoted father of Darin Lloyd (Linda), Lisa Lloyd (Frank), Kim Napoli (Joseph), and the late Shari Lloyd. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Rachel (Anthony), Nicholas, and Angelina (Jaden).
Bill was a lifetime resident of Washington Twp. He was one of the original police officers at the inception of the Washington Twp. Police Department in 1967 with Badge #1003. He served the community with honor and distinction for 25 years, retiring at the rank of Lt. in the Detective Bureau.
Bill’s favorite hobby was fishing. He would often take friends and family out on his boat in the Delaware Bay and in later years enjoyed surf fishing. He participated in many surf fishing tournaments in Fortescue and Wildwood with his team “Fishlanders”. He also enjoyed watching the Phillies and Eagles and finally got to see the Eagles win a Super Bowl. Bill was quite the practical joker and loved pulling pranks on his fellow officers. He also had many “Dad jokes” that he enjoyed telling. Another hobby was talking on sideband CB radio to people all over the world.
Most of all, Bill was incredibly faithful and a rock to his family as a loving husband and father to his wife and children. His family always came first. Known to many as “Pop”, Bill was a father figure, brother, and uncle to many.
