William Anthony Burnore ‘Bill’, age 79, of Ocean View, Delaware died Monday, April 22, 2024 at Arden Courts Memory Care, Cherry Hill, NJ. He was born to the Late John and Dorothy Burnore on April 5, 1945, in Willimantic (Windham), Connecticut. He was the devoted husband of Late Patricia (Trish, Pat) Marie Burnore and loving father of William Martin Burnore and the Late Jonathan Patrick Burnore. Brother to Late siblings Robert Burnore, Ruth Pearl, Rita Diffeny, and Lorraine Chapel & surviving siblings Kathryn Ives, Cleora Pearl & Joan Burnore. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Christine Burnore, brother-in-law Robert (Bobby) Dean and nephews Rett Dean and Shawn Baldwin, niece Kelly Baldwin, and grandchildren Rebecka Marie Burnore, Julia Patricia Burnore and Kyle Patrick Burnore. He was married in February 1965 while serving in the United States Air Force. Bill and Trish were married for 51 years. He lived in Delaware most of his life, however his family had the opportunity to live abroad in Singapore for 16 years from 1985 to 2001 and London England for 5 years from 1979 to 1983. He also resided in Hamilton Square, New Jersey for most of his children’s schooling years. Bill loved the game of golf and was an avid skydiver with over five hundred jumps in the books. The family will be celebrating Bill’s life on May 17^th 2024 during a private service/ceremony at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.

A great Boss and Mentor. Well grounded and worldly. Will miss our chats and his wisdom.

Our deepest condolences to the Burnore family. I am sorry that we just found out about Bill’s passing. We were neighbors with Bill and Pat in Bethany Marina. We enjoyed spending time with them both. Bill helped Mike several times with special projects, like installing flooring, tiling, and building a shed. He was a perfectionist and made Mike a better amateur carpenter. We loved his stories about his career, travel, & family. He was a remarkable person!

I was sorry to hear. Growing up with him was great, except when he put snakes down your back. Because he was color blind we used to match his clothes funny. Pete and i spent time over 4th of July when he was waiting for his discharge papers, that was fun. I once asked him why he skydived, and he said it shows you how much i trust airplanes. He will surely be missed.

We had the opportunity to spend some time with Bill and Pat. They were wonderful. Bill introduced Marc to skydiving. Our daughter, Casey had great memories of spending time in Delaware at Uncle Bill and Aunt Pat's. We are so sorry for your loss.
