Walter W. Weis, Jr., of Shamong, New Jersey, passed away at Samaritan Hospice on Sunday, September 13, 2026, after a long illness. He was 77 years old.

Walter was born on October 12, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Walter Sr., and Jean Weis (nee Beal).

Walter was an avid golfer and hunter and considered himself a cigar aficionado. He was a fan of both the Eagles and Phillies but never lost enthusiasm and devotion for his hometown teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates. Walt loved spending time with his wife, son, daughter in law,  grandchildren and dogs, Bella and Nutmeg, and never missed an opportunity to have a good laugh with his family and friends.

Walter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Weis (nee Masi) and his son Daniel, daughter in law Samantha, and his grandchildren Sophia, Conrad, Keandra, and Bradley. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Justine Alessi, Janet Mascaro (Larry), and Joann Conwell, along with many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his visitation Monday, September 21^st, 9:00 – 11:00 am at The Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ 08088. Funeral mass to follow 11:00 am. Interment and an additional celebration of life will be held in Pittsburgh at the convenience of Walter’s family.
