Vincent Pavia, born on September 11, 1932 to Michael and Mary (Pinnelli) Pavia in Philadelphia, PA. He met the love of his life Annarita (Cerquitella) at age 15 and they married on February 7, 1953. Together for 72 years they lived life to the fullest in that boyfriend/girlfriend state of mind, happily married for the next 68 years. They enjoyed their daily life, laughing together and raising their family. Vince proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. After his honorable discharge he worked at ITE Circuit Breaker Company for many years working his way up to supervision until he was able to fulfill his next dream of owning his own business. He purchased a Pepperidge Farm Bread Franchise in 1972, retired in 1997 and proudly passed the family business to his son, Michael. He and his bride traveled all over the country and some of Europe, enjoyed trips to the casinos, loved the beach and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family. His family and his bride were always his first priority. In his younger years, there were often “Elvis” sightings. As a family we would laugh when people came up to him to tell him how much they thought he looked like Elvis. What a conversation that struck up! His favorite time of the year was Fall and Football. He was a huge Eagles fan with season tickets for years in the 700 level of the Vet. He was unbelievably thrilled to see their Super Bowl Championship! He enjoyed his fusilli’s meatballs and sausage on Sunday’s. He was the guy who could have a conversation with anyone and make them feel like they were friends for a long time or part of his family. He left a thumb print on your heart whether you met him for the first time or knew him for a long time. He still got together with the guys he met in Boy Scouts so many years ago.
