Thomas J. Birch
Of Washington Twp. Passed peacefully on October 14, 2026, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Ellen (nee Baxter). Dear brother of Mary Birch and the late George Birch.
Tom proudly served as a police officer in Washington Township for 25 years, concluding his career with the rank of Captain. Some would say he was born with a badge on his chest. Following his retirement, Tom embraced the freedom to enjoy the things he loved most, including golfing, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. But perhaps nothing brought him more enjoyment than his trips to the casino. He will be remembered for his years of dedicated service, his love of adventure, and the lasting memories he created with family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Thomas’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
