With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven K. DiLiberto, a beloved husband, devoted father, adoring grandfather, cherished son, brother, and respected attorney. Steven, 53, went home to to be with the Lord on May 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication.
Born on September 12, 1970, in the heart of New Jersey, Steven’s journey was one defined by his unwavering commitment to his family, faith and his profession. As an attorney, his sharp intellect, compassionate nature, and unwavering sense of justice touched the lives of many, earning him respect and admiration throughout the community.
Steven’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was the devoted husband of Kara DiLiberto (nee Kottler) and the proud father of Alexandria, Nicholas, Justin, Jonathan, and Giovanni. His face would light up with pride at the mention of his grandchildren, Genevieve, Jaimison, Julian, Giorgio, and Grayson, whom he adored beyond measure. In addition to his immediate family, Steven held a special place in the hearts of his parents, Rosario “Roy” and Lana (nee Maragni) DiLiberto; his siblings, Susan DiLiberto, Debra Mazda, and Joseph DiLiberto, and was a beloved uncle to Brenden and Devon Young.
Steven’s vibrant life also included memorable chapters of athleticism and adventure. He distinguished himself not only as a skilled attorney but also as a formidable athlete, having played high school and college football. Despite receiving offers for Division 1 scholarships, he followed his passion for law, turning down those opportunities to pursue a career dedicated to justice. He shared his passion for fitness and strength training with his sons, often seen lifting weights, running, and working out alongside them, fostering bonds that extended beyond familial ties. An advocate for an active lifestyle, Steven found joy in the great outdoors, whether camping under the stars or hiking through rugged terrain. Weekends often found him honing his skills at the range, a testament to his love for adventure and marksmanship. These pursuits, woven into the fabric of his life, complemented his dedication to family, friends and profession, enriching the tapestry of memories that he leaves behind.
Steven’s life will be celebrated Monday 10:00 -11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 am at Calvary Chapel, 5360 Rt. 42N, Washington Township. Interment, Manahath Cemetery in Glassboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Kara DiLiberto, for the DiLiberto’s children’s future education, c/o Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Turnersville, NJ 08012.
