Shirley Josephine Carvelli
(nee Liss) On January 13, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late Robert D. Carvelli. Devoted mother of Judith Nelson (the late Karl), Lisa Shire (Kevin), Robert Carvelli (Patricia), Jill Hamer (John), and the late Donna Carvelli. Loving grandmother of Patrick (Chelsea), Brett (Laura), Angelina (Glenn), Kaitlin (Travis), Karly (Andrew), Kacey (Patrick), Marissa, Nicolette, and Robert. Proud great-grandmother of Brady, Sawyer, Maverick, Annabelle, Hannah, Cruz, Theodore, Alexander, Kaden, Kollyns, Liam, and Kohen. Dear sister of the late Frederick. Cherished daughter of the late Frederick and Josephine (nee Kosman) Liss.
Shirley was named after child star Shirley Temple. She grew up in Camden and was a proud graduate of Camden High School. After high school, she went to work for New Jersey Bell where she met the love of her life, Robert. Together they shared 62 happy years of marriage.
Shirley enjoyed traveling, eating her sweets and all things Disney, especially Snow White. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered lovingly by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 9:30-11:00 AM at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd. Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
