On April 3, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 102. Beloved husband of the late Angelina “Jean” L. Aufieri . Cherished father of Jeanne D. Massare-Phillips (Jim) and Debra A. Pantano (Bob). Dear brother of Roseann Volpe (the late Ralph), and the late Marie Ciocca (Gabe), Norma Pushkarewicz, and Dolores Boccuti (Pete). Dear brother-in-law of the late Marie Ridewood (Al) and John Aufieri. Loved by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Sal, Daddy, was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.  He was a proud man with a wealth of knowledge regarding any and all topics you chose to talk about.  Daddy enjoyed his family, social activities including many organizations which spanned from religious societies to veterans alliances.  he was a crackerjack at playing cards, especially pinochle which he would beat whomever his partners.  Daddy had “Hands of gold”; always willing to assemble items  for anyone who needed his expertise.  All who met Sal loved him for his openness, support, wisdom, guidance, skills and his life stories.  Daddy you are loved and missed every second of everyday and will ALWAYS be our “Hero”.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. and Friday 8:15-9:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

Sal was a beautiful person inside and out!! I got to know him by talking to him at the shore every summer. We kept in touch by phone during the winter. I always looked forward to sitting on the boardwalk bench & chatting with him. His memory was as sharp as a tack, even in his old age. He would reminisce about his life & all his accomplishments.
