Ruth V. DiGiandomenico (nee Ingraldi) age 86 of Washington Township went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Devoted mother of Frank L. DiGiandomenico (Denise), David S. DiJohn (Debra), and Mark R. DiJohn. Loving grandmother of Alisha, Matt, Katie, Ryan, Amanda and Luke.
Born in Philadelphia on the day the stock market crashed, October 29, 1929, Ruth grew up in the city as a child of the Great Depression. In her youth she spent summers in Rosenhayn, NJ helping out on the family farm. She met her husband Frank through a church function with the Italian Pentecostal Church. They married in Philadelphia 1954 and where they raised their family in South Philadelphia before moving to Drexel Hill, PA in in 1970. They remained in Drexel Hill until 1984 to Washington Township, NJ.
Ruth loved spending time with her family and enjoyed trips to the beach, especially Ocean City and Florida. She was active in her church, Calvary Hill Assembly God and she was always ready to share the word of God with anyone who would listen. Musically inclined, Ruth played the piano, sang in the church choir, and enjoyed gospel music. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Tuesday 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Celebration of Life service 1:00 PM. Interment at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private.
