Russell Alan Dinger, on November 28, 2013, of Washington Twp. Age 65. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Nevins). Devoted father of Nicole Bradley (Jesse), Ryan Dinger, Lauren Dinger, Diana Drakeley (the late Dennis) and Cheryl Bockius (the late John). Loving Pop Pop of Aidan, Julia, Jacob, Matthew, Dennis, Kevin, Courtney, Andrianna and Brian. Dear brother of Donna Bucholz (Jerry) and Debbie Ellis (Robert).
Russ graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, located in Willingboro, NJ, in 1966. While there, he was a three sport athlete, who played football, baseball, and basketball. After high school, he attended Burlington County College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Out of school, he was employed as a Corrections Officer at Trenton State Prison for several years before pursuing work as a bus operator, as he liked to call it. He drove for Grey Hound first, and then found a long-term career with New Jersey Transit, where he was employed for over 30 years before retiring.
Russ was a selfless family man, who worked tirelessly to support his family and give them a comfortable life. He was an avid sports fan, who especially loved watching his Phillies and Eagles. He also enjoyed fantasy sports, playing pinochle and other games, shooting pool, having catches in the yard, diving into a good book, working with computers, swimming, walking his dogs, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who he loved so dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Friday 10:15 – 11:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 12:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment private.
