Rosemary C Brennan (nee Shannon)
On January 22, 2022 of Washington Twp. Age 82. Predeceased by her loving husband Martin J Brennan Sr on January 14, 2022. Devoted mother of Martin J. Brennan, Jr., Kathleen Doyle (Joseph), Rosemary Hirst (Scott), Patricia Ecker (Michael), Dennis Brennan, Maureen Marsh (Francis), Matthew Brennan, and Eileen Brennan (Andy). Loving grandmother of Joseph, Allyson(David), Mikaela(Michael), Martin III(Christine), Jessica(Russell), Tyler, Scott, Robert, Emily, Jacob, Eian, John, Luciano, Patrick, Marykate, Sean, and Matthew. Proud great-grandmother of Chase, Avery, Brennan, Ellie, Beau, Mackenzie, Jax, Brady, Gemma, and Luca. Survived by brother in laws and sister in law, Francis Kunicki, Joseph Cole, Teresa and Edward Nyhus. Many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Helen Kunicki, brother Joseph Shannon and sister Kathleen Cole.
Rosemary was born to Howard and Helen Shannon in Laurel Springs, NJ in 1939. She graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1957 and went on to nursing school at Fitzgerald Mercy where she became a Registered Nurse.
Rosemary’s nursing career spanned over 40 years, beginning at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ and ending at Camden County Health Services in Blackwood NJ, where she worked for 35 years.
In 1960 Rosemary met her future husband Martin at a St. Lawrence social. They married in 1962 and began their life together in Washington Township, where they raised their 8 children.
She was passionate about her career in nursing working in mental health and geriatrics. She was a caregiver to all.
Rosemary was a devout Catholic. Her daily rosary and prayers were offered for anyone and everyone. Her compassion, and service to others was admirable.
She loved watching football, vacationing at the Jersey Shore, going shopping and spending time with her many friends.
Her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Family was incredibly important to Rosemary. Affectionally known as “Gee” to so many, she was kind, witty and generous. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
The family requests donations in Rosemary’s memory be made to the following charities that were dear to her heart.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday 6:00-9:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. and Monday 10:15-11:15 AM at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM. The family requests that masks be worn.
