Rose Rivello on December 14, 2014, of Washington Twp. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Ralph. Devoted mother of Patricia D’Antonio (John), Deborah Riley (Chris) and the late Ralph. Loving grandmother of Krista, John, Bria, Ralph, Peter and Steven. Proud great-grandmother of Amber, Giavanna, John and Santino. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Rivello.
Rose was a vibrant spirit. She was very sociable. She had many friends in South Philly. She was a Phillies partisan; she worked at Citizens Bank Park selling pizza and hotdogs for many years (until she was 86) and was the oldest working there. She was very devoted to her family (her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews). For New Years, she would have all of them family unite under her roof eating meatball sandwiches and going in and out to the New Years Day Parade. She was an animal lover. She had a dog name Prime and would always love when cats would show up at the door step. She was the mother that always took care the of her kids no matter how old they were and was always willing to help them. She was the grandmother that always gave her grandchildren treats and money. She had a very strong will and was very optimistic. Towards the end, even when she wasn’t feeling well, she always found something to smile, laugh about, and sing the song “What Ever Will Be, Will Be”. She will be remembered for her vibrancy, optimistic nature, and the love and devotion to her family.
