Roland was a special kind of guy and friend. He and I go back to our days on ACSIS where I was the ASW SW Developer and he was the System Engineer for that interface. Many days and years working together, many nights in lab, and talking at the coffee machine for our daily cup of coffee. We also enjoyed our discussions about food. He will be missed not only as a fellow peer but also as a friend.
