Roger Wilson Post, lovingly known as Roger, passed away on January 18, 2026, surrounded by love. He was 79 years old.
Roger was born on September 12, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York and was the beloved son of the late Lester and Margarete Post. He was a cherished and loving husband to his late wife, Marcella A. Post (Carroll), and a devoted father to Roger Michael Post. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Post (Jack).
Roger lived in Washington Township, New Jersey, for over forty years, and within the last year resided in Leisuretown, New Jersey.
Roger was dearly loved by his sisters-in-law, Corine Carroll Bradley (Glenn) and Barbara Carroll May. He was a loving uncle to his nieces, Jacqueline (Jim), Jennifer (Keith), Tracy (Jason), Katie, Sandra (Matt), and Brittany (Joshua), and his nephews, Scott (Monica) and Harry (Jessica), as well as many other family members and friends.
A brilliant man, Roger graduated from La Salle University as valedictorian. He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a translator and spoke several languages. After his military service, he worked in the financial industry as a VP for international financing for the remainder of his career. Through his work in financing, Roger loved to travel and had the opportunity to see much of the world. He was always the person you wanted on your family trivia night team. Roger also enjoyed gardening and loved taking care of his roses every season!
Known as the “funny guy” and the life of the party, Roger brought joy wherever he went. He was still doing backflips off the pool diving board into his 60s. He was loving, kind, and truly a good man. Above all things, he loved his family so much.
Though Roger is no longer Earthside, we know he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, walking with Him and reunited with the love of his life, Marcella. He will be dearly missed, and his memory will always be cherished in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 6:30 pm.
In honor of Roger’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations to Dementia Society of America.
