Robert Sawn

We are sad to announce that Robert H. Sawn (Bob), age 83, of Washington Township, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021.

Beloved husband of the late Betty A. Sawn.  Loving father of the late Betty Ann Wenzel (Greg), Denise Fisher (late Mark), and Diane LaMonica (Joseph).  Devoted son of the late George Sawn Sr. and late Carrie Loeble. Younger brother to the late George Sawn Jr.

Bob was born on February 19, 1938 in Camden County, NJ and graduated from Haddonfield High School.  He lived his earlier years in Cherry Hill, NJ and moved to Washington Township, NJ in his thirties.   Bob worked at Campbell’s Soup, RCA, and Langston Corporation in Cherry Hill, NJ.  At Langston Corporation, he was employed for over 30 years as a Designer/Draftsman before retiring.  During his career at Langston, he contributed to the development and copyright of machines used in production of corrugated boxes and shipping containers.

He enjoyed bowling, swimming, bodysurfing at the beach in Brigantine, NJ, and dancing with his wife Betty.  After retirement he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family including his five grandchildren, Conner, Mark Jr., Rachel, Christopher, and Andrew.  He enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City and vacationing to Las Vegas with his wife Betty, and cruising to Bermuda with his family.

Robert was a dedicated husband and father with a great sense of humor.  He was a wonderful man who was loved dearly by his family and will be missed beyond words by his family and friends.

Bob’s life will be honored and remembered privately by his family.
