Claire remembers Flo, her first cousin, from childhood at the home of Uncle Emil and Aunt Florence in Queens Village. Claire, her parents and sister joyfully attended the wedding of Flo and Bob. They and their family welcomed Claire and Joe at Gray Birch Road from 1970 onwards, at parties and weddings. It was gracious, delightful friendship.

Sara and Rick McClain left a message on February 26, 2021:
Saying goodbye to those we love and who have loved us is so very sad. Fairly recently we stopped at Bob's house because he had made flashdrives for us, containing pictures of Dave and Erin while they were cared for and loved by them. Bob and Flo - Flo and Bob, the team that made it possible for us to work without worry. They were role models for us when we were young and struggling to balance all the demands of work and family life. Both Erin and Dave still have wooden toys handcrafted by Bob. They are treasured, as are all the memories and love we were so lucky to share with Bob and Flo.
