On March 26, 2010, of Sewell, NJ. Age 77. Proud father of Maryann the late Charlie, Susie Tony and Bobby Michelle. Beloved grandpop of Elise, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Allison and Kimberly.

Robert was a Philadelphia firefighter and fire boat engineer. During his career, he had the honor of serving duty on Engine 44, Engine 71, Ladder 28, Snorkel 2 and Marine Unit 1. He fought some of the largest fires in Philadelphia history – the Fretz Building, Corinthos oil tanker and Gulf Refinery. He retired in 2004 after 42 years of service. Robert was also a veteran of the US Air Force, serving as an aircraft mechanic during the Korean War. He was a devout catholic member of the Church of the Holy Family and a true American Hero

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Rd., Washington Twp. Sewell. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.

To the Uhrick Family: I'm so sorry to hear of Bobs passing, he was a good fire fighter and a good friend. Bob mentored me as I was coming up in the Fire dept. Marine Unit ranks, taking time to teach me all that I needed to know about the fire boat and would spend time with anybody who needed his expertise. He always had a smile and a funny story and could always raise your spirits if you were down. He was missed when he retired. I retired in 2007 from Marine Unit 1 and will always cherish the memories I have of Bob and the other guys we worked with.May he rest in peace in Gods reward of a life well lived.

Dear Bob, Dawn Michelle, & Girls, I'm so sorry for your loss. Robert, was a great father and grandpop and truly will be missed. Just know there are wonderful memories you can look back on, and you will smile. We all know where Robert is right now, watching over his family from heaven. My Heart and prayers go out to you.
