Robert E. Worrick, on August 12, 2014 of Cherry Hill. Age 73. Beloved husband of Frances R. (nee Spalazzo). Devoted father of Robert A. Dear brother of Raymond (Jacalyn). Brother in-law of Richard (Ivy) Spalazzo. Also survived by his loving nieces, nephew and their families.
Recently my father passed away. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten. What I have to share are awesome memories about an awesome man! As a child I looked up to him and admired the things he did. He loved Wildwood, so much that he brought his bride there 46 years ago for their honeymoon! And then after, we spent vacations there as a family. He loved his days on the beach or as he said the “betch.” He loved to people-watch with mom on the boardwalk while riding the tram car. I remember the things he would say through the years while riding the tram car with him, things like “mad-don see the outfit on that one, yo hun.” If he busted your chops it meant he loved you. He was simple. He loved to be with family and loved my mom to death. They met when she was 19 years old and haven’t been apart till now. That should tell you something. They were best friends and so much more. A connection unbreakable, a relationship that, in my eyes, was amazing. And I had a front seat to watch how it grew. I wouldn’t trade that for anything. If I needed to sum up my father in one word it would be… “Hero.” He’s definitely my hero and always will be.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday 6:00-8:00 pm at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Bob’s Life will be celebrated at 8:00 pm. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com
