Robert E. Cook
On September 29, 2024, of Clayton. Age 65. Beloved husband of Constance Cook (nee McPhillips). Devoted father of Dillon Cook, Brandon Cook, Shannon Strickland, Eric Strickland, and Kyle Strickland (Christine). Loving grandfather of Lily, Madelyn, and Kane. Cherished son of Antoinette (nee Guiffre) and the late Francis Cook. Dear brother of David Cook, Cynthia Gribbon, and Jeanine Sullivan.
Bob was the Energizer Bunny in human form, whatever life threw at him he just kept going and going. He was a proud business owner of Bargain-Rent-A-Car for 40+ years, a “rental car mogul” as he would laughingly say. Bob and his wife raised their family in Clayton for the past 23 years. He worked hard to provide a good life for his family and set an example of hard work paying off. Bob loved traveling and even more loved telling jokes and making people laugh.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 pm. Interment Cedar Green Cemetery, Clayton.
In honor of Robert’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, his family would encourage any donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
