Rita D. Botta
(nee Esposito) On October 9, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 102. Beloved wife of the late Edwin and Joseph. Devoted mother of Susan Lanza and the late Carol Lanza; and stepmother to Jean (John), Patricia (Dave), and Linda. Loving grandmother of Damien, Gabriel (Stephanie), Edwin, Victoria, Jackie (Jude), John, Michael (Angela), Julie (Victor), Meagan (Michael) and Jamie. Proud great-grandmother of Gabriel IV, Frederick, and Grayson.
Rita Botta was a woman of deep faith, a loving heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her faith in God guided her throughout her life, and she was devoted to her church, St. Peter and Paul, which held a special place in her heart.
Rita found joy in bringing people together through her love of baking, specially making pizzelles, creating cherished memories and traditions for her family. She also loved sewing and was always ready to help, whether altering a garment or making a repair for someone she loved. Her generosity and willingness to lend a hand were just a few of the many ways she showed her love.
In her free time, Rita enjoyed watching The Voice and Dancing with the Stars, and listening to her favorite, Michael Bublé.
Above all, Rita will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, and the love she shared so freely. The traditions she created, the things she made with her hands, and the countless memories she left behind will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by God’s love and reunited with those who went before her.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her viewing Friday, October 16th 10:00 – 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:15 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.
