Richard P. Harner

On December 20, 2023, of Washington Twp.  Age 74.  Beloved husband of Beth.  Devoted father of Kristin Meares (Christopher), Michael Harner (Chelsea), and James Harner (Heather).  Loving grandfather of Sophia, Annabelle, Madeline, Austin, Keira, Jacob, and Zachary.  Dear brother of Renee Gaudreau, Charles Harner and Donna Negarawan.

Rich (Ricky) was born in Philadelphia on October 14^th, 1949, to Richard and Evelyn Harner.  He grew up there surrounded by family and friends. Rich served his country in the Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War, stationed in Dover, Delaware. He worked for the Xerox Corporation for 45 years.

Rich enjoyed racing cars – especially his Dodge Hemi Coronet at Atco Raceway and Cecil County Dragway. He took up golf with his father and later played in the senior league at Pitman Golf Course.

Above all else, Rich loved his family.  He married Beth in 1973, and they celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary this year, surrounded by family.  Together they raised their 3 children and welcomed 7 grandchildren.  Rich’s grandchildren were the loves of his life and he was happiest spending time with them.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday, December 30^th  9:00-11:00 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp.  Funeral service 11:00 AM.
