On April 27, 2016 of Chapel, FL. Age 71. Husband of Rosemarie Tong-Smith. Father of Kathleen Giardinelli (Augie), Richard Smith (Monica) and Jill McCrea (Joe). Grandfather of Kristen, Gabrielle, Augie, Justin, Michael, Nina, Amelia, Cole, Joey and Sophie. Also survived by Paula Smith. Richard spent his early years in Ocean Grove and lived most of his life in the Monmouth County area, prior to moving to Wesley Chapel, Florida. He loved the beach and boating. After his retirement, he devoted most of his time traveling with his wife, Rose.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
