ROBERT CALLAWAY left a message on September 14, 2020:
Bernie, I am sorry I was unable to attend the viewing on Saturday, but I wanted to pass along my condolences to you and your family. I was saddened to learn of Ray's passing. It doesn't seem like that long ago when he was picking you up after a day or night of hard labor at Clover. I always enjoyed seeing him and chatting with him, and we often went back and forth at each other with playful banter. He was a wonderful man and I'm sure this loss is very painful. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Rob Callaway
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mick Drolet left a message on September 12, 2020:
I have such fond memories growing up in the neighborhood. "Uncle" Ray, watched out for me and all of the other neigborhood kids when we were out running around. He kept an eye on things at Meadow Ave and Hurff Lane. In a time before cell phones, Uncle Ray would pass the message along, "Mickey your mom is calling you for supper", and he did the same for all of us. He was a staple at the back fence, with his dog Ted, maybe drinking a beer (I was too young to know for certain). Now that I'm older I can see that Ray kept us all safer. He was a great neighbor, and he is forever part of my childhood. There were less than 10 neighborhood kids, and if any of us needed help, we all knew that it was safe to go to the house of Aunt Bernie and Uncle Ray.
