Randall “Randy” M. Blume
On April 9, 2025, of Berlin. Age 76. Beloved husband of Lynn A. Gallant-Blume. Devoted father of Kirstin Schell (Steven). Loving grandfather of Adelyn and Emilia. Cherished son of Howard E. and Eleanor E. (nee Pollock) Blume. Caring son-in-law of Wayne E. Gallant, Sr. (Betty). Dear brother-in-law of Wayne E. Gallant, Jr. (Lynn). Cousin of Delice Richards and Steven Pollock (Renee).
Randy grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, and as a young man loved camping and hiking. He was a graduate of Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) where he met his wife of 54 years, Lynn. He later earned an MA from Rider College in 1982. After graduation, Randy served in the Army and was deployed to Germany which started his love of traveling and skiing.
After serving in the Army, Randy worked for the State of New Jersey in health and senior services and settled down in Marlton NJ. After retiring as a Program Manager for the NJ State Department of Health in 2008, Randy and Lynn decided to travel as much as possible. His love of travel gave him the opportunity to see so much of the earth’s wonders and also to experience other cultures, meeting peoples from diverse backgrounds, whether Māori chiefs or Egyptian farmers. He and Lynn were fortunate to travel to 55 countries during retirement. Randy enjoyed reading, playing cards, and watching all sporting events. He could often be found cheering from the side of the pool or field for his daughter and granddaughters.
Randy will be remembered as a devoted son, friend, husband, father, uncle, and Grandpop.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday, April 26th 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, Washington Twp. Funeral Service 11:00 am.
In honor of Randy’s life, in lieu of flowers or other acts of sympathy, we would encourage any donations to McDaniel College.
