Olga I. Pirillo (nee Homanick), on September 6, 2017, of Williamstown. Age 86. Beloved mother of Anthony D. Pirillo, Diane K. Fontana and Natalie A. Workosky (Robert). Loving grandmother of Taylor, Joseph, Lauren and Alyssa. She is also survived by her dear sister Dorothy Curran (John), sister-in-law Emily Homanick and loving nieces and nephews.
My mom, Olga Pirillo, was truly the strongest woman I know. As a young woman first out of Nursing School she gave care, aid & comfort to many of our Veterans at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia. She then went onto St. Agnes Hospital and served there until meeting my dad Anthony and began her life as the mom of 3 loving and successful children. Mom went back to St. Agnes as we grew older and served as Head Nurse in the Surgical Department until her retirement. An exceptional woman of strength, compassion and steadiness. Did I happen to mention she was extremely intelligent and beautiful too? She made us into fine people and can be proud that she was the best at the most important job of “mother” to my sisters and me.
Mom, we can never pay you back for what you’ve built into us. We love you win or lose, always.
