Norma Jean Russell, age 80, of Washington Township died Monday April 30, 2012, at Kennedy Memorial Hospital.
Norma Jean was born March 3, 1932 in Davis City, IA, to the late Earl and Evelyn Johnston.
A loving wife to her husband of 53 years, the late John G. Russell, Norma Jean loved to play golf with her husband. She adored being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norma Jean is survived by her four children; Rick Russell and his wife, Connie of Tucson Ariz., Kathy Checklick and her husband, John of Culpeper, VA, John Russell, Jr and his wife Karol of Turnersville, NJ, and Cynthia Baggot and her husband, Scott of Glassboro, NJ; nine grandchildren: Jay, Steve and Joseph Checklick, Sara and Scotty Baggot, Tanya Burke, Casey Russell, Anna Kiley and Hannah Russell and eight great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Joey, Carter, and Jaxon Checklick, Isaac, Gage and Taryn Burke and Travis Russell.
Additional survivors include Connie Petticord and her husband Lloyd of Des Moines, IA.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date when all of the family is able to gather together for a reunion and celebration.
Arrangements are under the care of the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, Washington Twp.
