Nina M. Alberici, age 80 of Turnersville, NJ died on Tuesday July 25, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late Giovanni and Lucrezia Beccini on March 7, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA.
Nina was the beloved wife of the late Peter, loving mother of Anna Alberici and Peter Alberici (Ana Martin), and devoted grandmother of Christina, Amelia and Giovanni. She was the dear sister of Jennie Genovese and the late Mario Beccini and Mary Beccini. She was the cherished aunt of Grace Mateja, Valerie Elkins, Christine Wahley, John Genovese, Laurie Genovese and many more loving nieces and nephews. She was considered everyone’s favorite aunt.
Nina was a long-time Sony employee but also worked as a typist and substitute teacher. She also spent many years as a volunteer for St. Jude’s Church and School in Blackwood, NJ. But her most important occupation, and where she excelled, was that of a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and actually delighted in feeding people. She enjoyed reading, music, movies and dancing. And, she generously donated to many charities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday, July 31, 9:15 – 10:15 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stage Coach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nina’s memory may be made to the House of Charity, Bishops Annual Appeal, 631 Market St., Camden NJ 08102.
