Miriam Beatrice Jones

Miriam was born in Antigua on June 14, 1935, to joyful parents Arthur and Leonora Green. She had a great childhood and loved playing with her brother Sonny and her sister Barbara. She had an interest in nursing and helping others whenever she could.
Miriam was a kind and gentle soul, but was never afraid to tell you what was on her mind. She was witty, fierce insightful and full of spunk. Miriam was also an ardent lover of animals, so passionate that she worked part time as a Groomer.
Miriam is survived by four children, Robin, Deborah, Michael and Vincent. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Arthur, mother Leonora, husband Henry, brother Sonny, sister Barbara, niece Doreen, and her eldest son Henry Junior.
Miriam was living with dementia at the time of her passing. She will be remembered as a loving grandmother who dedicated her summers to watching her grandchildren. She loved to take them for long walks around Brooklyn, exploring the city, and to back to her home for grandma cooking. Miriam also had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories. She loved doing crossword puzzles and reading the Bible.
Miriam will be greatly missed, however it important to remind ourselves that “What we have once enjoyed deeply, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” – Helen Keller
