Michael DelBonifro

On July 18, 2026, of Media. Age 63. Beloved husband of Tonya (nee Squilla). Devoted father of Gianna DelBonifro (Andres). Loving son of the late Michael and Joan DelBonifro. Dear brother of Anthony DelBonifro (Liliana) and Robert DelBonifro (the late Deborah) (Michele). Michael is also survived by his dear sisters-in-law, Barbara Squilla (Marty Quinn), Sondra Nocella and brothers-in-law, Damien J. Squilla (Stacey). Predeceased by his brother-in-law Charles J. Squilla. Loved by his cousins, nephews & nieces, and their children, Giovanna, Savannah, T.J., Genevieve, Mason, Theodore, Michael, Jack, Nicholas, and Alorah.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael DelBonifro, a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

Michael was born and raised in Overbrook Park, where he had some of his fondest memories, and made lifelong friends. He later made his home in Media with his beloved wife, Tonya, where together they raised their daughter, Gianna, who was the greatest joy of his life.

Michael had a passion for working out at the gym, playing hockey, spending time at the Jersey Shore, and never missed an opportunity to watch sports with his family.

Michael was an accomplished attorney who proudly built and operated his own law practice.  Those who knew Michael will remember him for his incredible generosity and selflessness. He was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone and always putting the needs of others before his own. While he was dedicated to serving his clients, Michael was notoriously family-oriented, and nothing in his life was more important than his family. They were the center of his world, and he devoted himself wholeheartedly to those he loved. Some of his happiest moments were the simple ones, such as, gathering around the table for Wednesday night family dinners- where they shared stories, laughter, and created memories that will be treasured forever.

Michael loved Tonya’s family as his own and spent good times with them often, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve every year.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Michael passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family. Thanks to the unwavering care provided by his wife, daughter, brothers, and other family members, he was comfortable and did not suffer in his final moments.

Family and friends are welcome to attend his viewing Friday, July 24^th 5:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday, July 25^th 8:15 – 9:15 AM at D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall, 2811 Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Parish, Broomall. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
