Michael was my next door neighbor on Kimberly Drive. I used the babysit Michael, Anthony & Robert. I loved babysitting for his family because the kids were always asleep and his mom left the best snacks. His family were great neighbors. I was shocked and sadened when my brother sent me his obituary. He will always be little Michael to me. My sincere condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing. The world lost a great guy. Rest in peace dear Michael.

I was 15 and Michael was 14 when we worked together at Barson’s Luncheonette. I was fired as I never wrote down table numbers but my friendship with Michael continued. I remember his yellow corvette pulling up to my house one day. For my 17th birthday one year he bought me a bracelet I was so surprised. His kindness was constant. He was going to visit me in Los Angeles but he instead took classes as he was determined to get his law license. We lost touch but then reconnected and he told me he got married to a wonderful woman and had a daughter, Gia that changed his life for the best way! He was so proud of his new family. I asked if his parents missed having him around and he said I think we’re at my parents more than when I lived there. We laughed. We spoke months ago when he told me about the cancer and I’ve been saying his name every morning in my prayers so this is a heartbreaking shock right now. My sincerest condolences to his wife, daughter and parents, he cherished you all so much. I pray now that Perpetual Light shines upon his incredibly beautiful, soul.

I grew up with Michael in Overbrook Park. We live across the street from each other. We had tons of fun with all of our friends. Michael had laid-back personality and was so lovable. His mom and dad raised a great kid. Of all of my friends in the neighborhood he stood out as the most likable one of the bunch. I’d have to say that the best years of my life so far have been growing up in Overbrook Park and Michael was a big part of that. I will miss you, kiddo. God bless.
