Mary Esposito
(nee Rodano) On September 30, 2023, of Washington Twp. Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael, Sr. Devoted mother of Lisa Rotella (Dino), Edwin Esposito (Melissa), Paul Esposito (Kimberly), the late Joseph (Maryanne), and the late Michael Esposito (Denise). Loving grandmother of Nicole, Maria, Dina, Brooke, Amanda, Alicia, Gianna, Joseph, Genevieve, Danielle, Matthew, Michael, and Marc. Proud great-grandmother of Gemma, Blaise, Isabella, Brielle, and Ava. Loved by her beloved nieces and nephews.
Mary Esposito (Rodano) was born and raised in South Philadelphia. She met her life-long soulmate, Joseph Esposito Sr., at 16 and married him at 19, then started a family. They moved to South Jersey; Cherry Hill, then Washington Twp. Gloucester County, to finish raising their children. Mary and Joe enjoyed all aspects of life and their loved ones.
Mary had 5 wonderful children with Joe and spent her life as a mother and wife raising her family. She was always the constant. She was tough when needed, especially with 4 boys (Joseph, Michael, Eddie, and Paulie), and tender with her only daughter, Lisa, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Animals were a large part of Mary’s life and she loved babies. Her great grandchildren brought her so much joy. She spent a large part of her marriage with Joe at events and dancing. They used to go out dancing every week.
Mary can rejoin her husband and children (Joseph and Michael), and all their family and be at peace. She can look down on her legacy and smile, while she waits for the day we eventually come home.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish/Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 500 Greentree Road, Glassboro. Entombment, New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association
