Mary E. Duffield

(nee Narr) On February 11, 2024 of Washington Twp. Age 86. Beloved wife of David. Devoted mother of David Duffield (RuthAnn), Dan Duffield (Tracy), and Debbie Grelli (Tony). Loving grandmother of Matt (Kylee), Keith (Rose), Chrissie (Andy), Heather, Dan (Kristin), Tony (Chrissy), Jenny, and Julie (Ed). Proud great-grandmother of Lavinia, Jameson, Jaxon, Finley, Sophie, Magnolia, Greyson, Brooke, Bryce, Blair, and Blake.

Mary and David founded and co-owned Duffield’s Farm and Farm Market in Washington Township in 1965 and she loved greeting and chatting with customers. The family still operates the business to this day. Mary was a member of St. John’s Church where she was a youth leader for many years and Mary led her Prayer and Share group for over 40 years. Mary will be remembered for her faith in God, her generosity for others and her love of spending time with family. She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday 7:00 – 9:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 – 10:30 AM at St. John’s Church of Turnersville, 149 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Funeral service 10:30 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to St. John’s Church, Turnersville, NJ or Angelic Hospice.

Mary was one of the best women I was lucky enough to have known. Her smile and her laugh lit up any room she walked into. She always gave the best hugs too. She was the best one of my role models for sure. I’ll never forget the times we shared while I was working at Duffield’s that’s for sure. I’ll always love and remember her everywhere I go.

I have been a customer for at least 40 plus years. I remember when they played Gospel music in the store. I will miss seeing her lining up the tomatoes and pointing out to me some nice ones that she just brought out. Rest in peace Mary and the Lords blessings on the family.

May you now rest in heavenly peace! Your smile and kindness will now and forever light up the heavens. You will be missed.

Mrs. Duffield (Mary!!) is one of the sweetest women I have ever known in my life. I always looked forward to seeing her at the market. She always kept busy but always had time to make us feel special. Heaven has welcomed a beautiful, special lady.

BankBridge school always goes over to that farm to work there.

My sincere condolences to Mary’s family and friends. She raised hard working children and grandchildren and I know she will be missed at the farm. May you all know she is at peace and will be watching over you from Heaven as she did here on earth.

Sympathy, Prayers and love to all the family, Mary was my friend for almost 69 years. we had shared many years of memories laughing and gigging as young girls working at our first real job, going on great adventures on our days off. then our weddings and babies, then sharing our anniversary dinners every year, New Years together even with the kids, the many camping trips, even when some of them were in tents at Candle's lake. We didn't have to go far to have fun. Mary my best friend you be in my in my heart always.

I remember when I was little my friend gave me a Giny Pig that was expecting little did I know but when I got it home my parents Arthur and Virginia Ferrari noticed it right a way and they told me you are not keeping this so they took it right to Duffields Petting Zoo I was crushed. Mr and Mrs Duffield were some of the first friendly faces I met when I moved to Wash. Twp. in 1977. They would greet friends and strangers as new friends. Many memories for me and my family were on their farm and at their market, May Mary rest in peace and rise in eternal glory.
