Mary E. Croft nee Yeager

On November 10, 2009, of Washington Twp. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late William G. Devoted mother of Laraine Etschman Charles and Kay Jacobs Joe. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Ruczynski Frank, Jason Bartlett Mandi and Justine Jacobs. Proud great-grandmother of Frank, Julia, Jacob, Aidan and Ava. Dear sister of Jean Richert.

Mary was a proud veteran of the US Navy and served her country during WWII. She raised two daughters and eventually went back to school, graduating from Glassboro State College with a BA in Education. Mary taught elementary school for over 25 years in both Winslow and Monroe Township School Districts. She was a proud member of the NJ Education Association. She was loved and will always be remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation Friday 10:00 – 11:00am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Memorial Service 11:00am at the funeral home. Entombment Gloucester County Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Reed St., Suite 200, Philadelphia, PA 19147, or to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

Jen, I know you will miss your grandmom. She was always there for her family. She loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. God blessed her with a long and productive life and you were blessed to have her as long as you did. May your memories of your Grandmom bring you comfort. Love you, Anne

Kay & Lorraine - I didn't know your mom well, but I knew her enough to know that she loved her daughters and was proud of them. I am sorry for your loss....I know she will be missed. Your families are in my prayers. God bless you, Anne U.

I'd like to extend my sincerest condolences to Mary's family. I taught Kindergarten with Mary at Whitehall School in the 70's and in the 80's, we taught together at Radix. Mary was an excellent, hard-working teacher and a mentor to many of us. She has touched the lives of so many.

Dear Kay, My sincerest condolences to you, my friend, in the loss of your mother. May cherished memories of her comfort your pain. You remain in my prayers and thoughts, as I continue to wish for you peace and good health. xo

Mrs. Croft was a very nice teacher who had those glasses that I would never forget. I went to that Lutheran church on Main street for Kindergarten . I always was next to her even at the June fair. I even have a picture with her that is cool. She was part of my child hood that I would not forget, I just turned 43 years old.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I remember Mrs. Croft fondly, she was the kindergarten teacher for my son Steven, class of 74-75, when it was held at the church building on Main St. in Williamstown. And I was a room mother & she allowed me to bring in my younger son on special days. And she also took us room mothers out to dinner to thank us for our help. She was a great asset to the teaching profession and she would be proud of the men my sons have become. Our family is sorry for your loss.
