Mary Ann “May” Giordano
(nee Coombe) On June 24, 2026, of Blackwood. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late Edward M. Giordano, Sr. Devoted mother of Edward M., Jr. (Tiffany), Vincent J. (Danielle), Robert J. (Ann Marie), and Rosanna Thomson (the late John). Loving grandmother of Michael (Sarah), Kelly, Casey, Lisa, Lindsey, Tre and Maddox. Proud great-grandmother of Emma Grace and the late Luca James. Dear sister of Barbara Giampapa and Anna Ortiz. Loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, she was a proud graduate of Hallahan High School. In 1960, she made Blackwood, New Jersey, her home, where she and her beloved husband, Ed, built a life together and raised their four children. A devoted parishioner of St. Jude’s Parish and a woman of deep faith, she found her greatest joy and pride in her family. Married to Ed for 63 years, theirs was a partnership built on love, commitment, and devotion. She was the anchor of the family, providing strength, guidance, and unwavering support to those she loved.
She was a loving and devoted mother who taught her children the values of respect, kindness, hard work, and family. As a grandmother, she was caring, loving, and always ready with thoughtful advice. Her wit, sense of humor, and direct nature made her unforgettable to everyone who knew her. Time spent with her sisters, Barbara and Annie, refreshed her soul and brought her immense happiness. Her home was always open, and no one ever left hungry. She welcomed family, friends, neighbors, and newcomers alike with warmth and generosity, making everyone feel at home. She embraced her sons’ wives as daughters and cherished the special bonds they shared. She treasured large family gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and love, and she held a special place in her heart for her many cousins, nieces, and nephews, delighting in the relationships and memories they shared throughout the years. Her legacy is one of faith, family, generosity, and unconditional love.
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Monday 10:15 AM-12:00 PM at the Church of The Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
