Dear Chip & Family, I always liked your mom and respected her quite a bit. She was a good woman and she will most certainly be missed. But as you already know, she is in a much better place now. I was blessed to have known Mom Mom. She was strong, courageous and feisty and that feisty-ness was her signature trademark! Our friendship has shared many years of happy memories of our family affairs. To Heyduk family, I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. My mom-Peggy and your mom were friends after my fatehr passed away. I know that she was a big part of my mom's life and healing. Mary was a special lady and friend. Peggy passed away in 2005. I understand your hearbreak but take comfort in knowing there is no more suffering. My prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

Things that my mom loved: her coffee & cigarettes,a good steak, salty snacks, Rummicube, time with family & friends, going on cruises, shopping, a bargain, the Jersey Shore, her Florida mobile, but more than all that - she loved each and every one of you! My mom wasn't perfect, but she had some amazing qualities. She was strong, funny & outgoing. She never had a shortage of friends. Growing up, our house was lovingly referred to as Grand Central Station. She loved to sing, and to hear others sing. I remember my mom telling me that she wanted me to play my guitar & sing at her funeral. I told her that i was going to be focused on trying to "Breath" at her funeral! She wanted her passing to be a time of laughter, not tears! As a child growing up, I always knew that I was loved. There was never a shortage of hugs, & we always said "I love you"! My mom had a very strong sense of JUSTICE. I cant tell you how many times she would say, "What you do for one, you do for the others". She valued family & friendship above all. She loved being around other people and Lord knows she loved shopping! She loved being a grandmother and she would do anything for those kids. They will miss her terribly, and we will too.
