Martha E. Gerber
(nee Yurick) on May 17, 2017 of Washington Twp. Age 84. Beloved wife of the late John E., Sr. Devoted mother of John E., Jr. (Jean), Richard (Arlene), Ann Marie Cudeyro (Tom) and Stephen Gerber (Gretchen). Loving grandmother of Michael (fiancée Alina), Matthew (fiancée Sharice), Jenna, Andrew, Alyssa, Christopher and George. Dear sister of Theresa Marzen and the late Paul, Jack, Thomas and Joseph Yurick.
An unassuming person and a devout Catholic, Martha was devoted to her family. She lit up whenever she saw each of her seven grandchildren, and dedicated herself to supporting her children and grandchildren in their educational and extracurricular pursuits. In addition to being a homemaker, Martha was a merchandiser for Hallmark and American Greetings. Crocheting, baking, and playing the penny slots were just a few things that Martha enjoyed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 8:15-10:15 AM at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha’s memory may be made to American Heart Association, 1 Union St., #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Mom:
We love you and miss you already. But you will always be with us, because eternity dwells in the human heart. I sat in your kitchen this morning and couldn't stop crying. I saw you everywhere. There are so many wonderful memories of growing up on Greenview Drive with John, Ann Marie, and Stephen. I will never forget our special Sunday morning coffee and donuts after church. You and I, and sometimes Daphne, sat in your kitchen and watched the people go by. I see qualities of you in my dear Arlene as she is a strong woman like you. I also love that she shares your preference of hanging clothes outside on the wash line - even in the winter. ( she'll kill me for saying that). I loved the way you lit up whenever one of your seven grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Jenna, Andrew, Alyssa, Christopher, or George, walked into the room. I think they are the reason you held on so long- you didn't want to leave them. I am comforted to know you are at peace, that you have been reunited with dad, and that someday we will all be together again.

Mom, I was over the house yesterday and as I walked through the kitchen it finally hit me! I didn't hear the sound of the church, or the hallmark channel on the T.V.; you were not home, you went to heaven to see dad! As I looked downstairs I could see the platform and presents at Christmas, I remembered the black/white TV in the living room and as I looked into the kitchen I remembered the home-made pizza and bottle of cherry soda on Fridays! As I walked up the steps I could see our stockings hanging and as I peeked into my old bedroom I could hardly believe that it was big enough for the bunkbeds and Stephens crib! I went out back on the patio and could smell the scent of the old grill being fired up for one the many cook outs with the neighbors! My kids have memories of Saturday nights with the cousins and much more. 427 Green Is filled with many happy memories. You may not be home in body but you will always be home in my heart. I love you mom!
