Mario J. Arizzi
On July 11, 2011, of Washington Twp. Age 66. Beloved husband of Anita M. nee Rodano. Devoted father of Mario C. Arizzi Maria and Danielle Desiderio Daniel. Dear son of Lucy nee Rutigliano and the late Mario A. Arizzi. Loving grandfather of Mario, Matthew and Alex. Dear brother of Peter and Linda.
Mario was a creative and intelligent person who was known as “Pop” by all the kids who knew him. He loved the game of baseball and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play the sport. Some days, he would spend the whole day on the diamond, watching as many as six games! He will be remembered as an organizer, a go-getter, a man who knew all the answers and was always there for whomever needed him. Mario will be especially remembered for the love of his grandchildren and his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday 8:15 – 10:15 am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mario’s name may be made to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, 1200 N. Delsea Dr., Clayton, NJ 08312.

Our Deepest Sympathy go's out to the Arizzi family. Mr Arizzi was a fun and loving family guy . He was alway's rooting on all the boy's at their games and alway's was their to pick up the boy's and hangout , play and talk .He loved taking the kid's on day trips to the shore, USS New Jersey , movies anything and anywhere as long as he was with his grandkids , and their friends were always invited and treated just like they were one of his own grandkids . Our son Joseph will miss Pop Arizzi terribly as he has included him in their outings for the last 6 plus years . PopPop Arizzi was a true giver and has permanently stamped our hearts and lives. He gave so much of his time with countless hours of coaching, encouraging, talking, playing and laughing with the kids. Not just his grandchildren - all the kids who were involved with their family. It was fun watching him with them and always made me smile. These memories are priceless! A picture of the 5 Mario's has been on our fridge since we met the Arizzi Family about 7 years ago at Grenloch Terrace. Little Leone was saddened and shocked when he heard the news. We are so sad to hear about the passing of Mario. I only knew him a few short years, but he was a staple at Shane and Ryan's baseball and soccer games. We probably spent the whole day together more than once, as he was there for so many games. His presence, kind demeanor, and pleasant conversations will be missed.
