Marie B. Parkhill, on September 17, 2017, of Deptford. Age 62. Former wife of the late Paul C. Medwid. Devoted mother of Ryan P. Medwid and Jeanette M. Medwid. Dear sister of Diane Peluso, Jeanine Campo and Frances Ann Sohn. Also survived by her lifelong friend Terry Bohleman.
Marie Bernadette Parkhill was born on March 25th, 1955, in Philadelphia, to Jeanette (nee DiPrisco) and Vincent Parkhill. She grew up with three sisters, Diane, Jeanine, and Frances, and soon found another in Terry Palladino. While working at the naval shipyard in Philadelphia, Marie met Paul Christopher Medwid, and on February 5th, 1983, married into the very caring, supportive, and loving Medwid family, all of whom she cherished greatly throughout her life. Along with Paul, Marie was blessed with two children, Ryan Paul and Jeanette Marie.
Throughout her life Marie was intelligent, hardworking, and kind. She had never run out of things to say and she had a great sense of humor about all things as evidenced by her fantastic ability to laugh. The only things in life she loved more than pigs, The Beatles (and later in life, the Flyers), were her two children, for whom she worked tirelessly to care for, provide for, and to grow and educate throughout her entire life. Though Marie passed on September 17, 2017, she left us all with traditions that will endure, as well as fond memories too numerous to count. She will be loved, and she will be missed.
Relative and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday 1:30 – 2:30 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Memorial Service 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
