Marie Naughton
February 12, 1947 – December 25, 2025

Marie Naughton (nee Stinsman) On December 25, 2025, of Mullica Hill. Age 78. Beloved wife of Christopher Naughton. Devoted mother of Lisa Melchiorre (Louis) and Chris Naughton (Becky). Loving and fun grandmother to Michelle Melchiorre, Nicole Melchiorre, Anthony Melchiorre, Grace Naughton, Aidan Naughton, Faith Naughton. Dear sister of Francis Stinsman, and the late Catherine Sullivan, James Stinsman, and Roseanne Nelson. Fondly cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marie grew up in South Philadelphia before moving to Oak Valley, NJ in the early 1960s. She graduated from Deptford HS in 1965 and worked in banking. She married her husband, Christopher, in 1966, during her husband’s service in the Air Force, and moved to South Dakota where her first child, Lisa, was born. Upon returning to NJ, her second child, Chris, was born.

Marie loved the Shore and many wonderful memories are cherished by her family of their time with her at the beach, on the boardwalk, and crabbing. Marie was a gifted cook, a savvy financier, a talented gardener, and a brilliant wise cracker.

Above all, she was a wonderful and exceptionally devoted mother, grandmother, and wife. Marie made life better for everyone she was around by her care, her service, her warmth, and her kindness. She has left the world a significantly better place by her influence and example to her two children and six grandchildren, as well as, to her extended family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation Tuesday, December 30^th 10:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM. Interment Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
