Murtha
Margaret
(nee Fair) On February 1, 2014 of Washington Twp. Age 76. Devoted mother of Thomas M. (Kristina), Joseph (Annamarie) and Christopher S. Murtha (Joanne). Loving grandmother of David, Ian, Christopher, Raymond, Lauren and Thomas. Dear sister of Charles and the late Dr. William Fair.
Margaret worked in the Government Documents office in the Rowan University library for 31 years. She enjoyed helping the students and working with her colleagues in the library. She adored their company and often talked about them to her family. She loved the Philadelphia Flyers and followed them loyally. Peggy, as she liked to be called, was a faithful parishioner of Saint Charles Borromeo Church where she could be regularly found at mass and adoration. She was a great mother of three grateful sons. She was always there for them when needed, even as they grew into adults. She adored her six grandchildren that were the love of her live. She attended as many of their school events, birthday parties, vacation trips, and life milestones as any one person possibly could. As any good grandmother should, she enjoyed telling her friends and coworkers all about their accomplishments and latest endeavors. She was truly a special person. One of a kind. We’ll miss her….
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday 8:15-10:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, Washington Twp. Interment private. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.egizifuneral.com
