With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lou Bourquin, a man whose life was marked by dedication and deep love for his family.
Born in Canton, Ohio, his exceptional athleticism shone brightly during his high school years earning him all state honors in football and basketball. Duty called and Lou answered serving his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean wartime. His time in the service shaped his character and instilled a life-long sense of discipline and camaraderie.
After the Marines, Lou embarked on a 32 year career with Bell Atlantic where he progressed through the ranks from technician, Supervisor and lastly manager. Retirement brought Lou joy as he embraced the opportunity to coach and participate in his children’s various sports and activities. He was a constant presence on the sidelines, offering unwavering support and encouragement.
Lou’s passion for sports extended beyond his children’s endeavors. He was an ardent fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
Those who knew Lou well always knew they would find him with his beloved dogs by his side. His “doggies” were constant companions offering him unconditional love and unwavering loyalty.
Lou will be missed deeply by all but we take comfort knowing he is united with his sons, siblings, and parents.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 10:30 AM-12:00 PM at SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:15 PM.
