Lillian M. Skow nee Manych
On September 16, 2009, of Washington Twp. Age 96. Mrs. Skow was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Hart. She is the beloved mother of Steve Skow and his wife Denise, and the devoted grandmother of Jeffrey wife Maria, Gregory, David fiancée Joy and Paul Skow. She is also survived by dear friends Jim Mitchell and Carol Rieske.

Mrs. Skow was born in New York City and moved to Washington Township in 1984 to live close to her family. She graduated from Hunter College and found great joy in teaching kindergarten from 1959 until 1983 in Waldwick, NJ. She enjoyed reading and traveling the world. She continued to play bridge, golf and tennis, as well as square dance, well into her eighties. She especially enjoyed her friends and activities at the Washington Township Senior Center.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday 8:30 – 10:00am at the EGIZI FUNERAL HOME, 119 Ganttown Rd., Turnersville, NJ. Funeral Service 10:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Holy Family Parish, 226 Hurffville Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080.

Dear Steve, Denise, and family, I was so saddened to hear about the loss of Lillian. She and I taught together in the 1970's. She was my mentor when I began teaching kindergarten in Waldwick. I had tremendous respect for her as an educator and was influenced by her teaching experience and philosophy. I am still teaching kindergarten at Crescent School in Room 106 Lillian's room and continue to feel her presence. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Sincerely, Adrienne Dockery
