On May 16, 2022 of Sewell. Age 82. Devoted mother of Tommy (Marissa), Karen (Joe), Peter (Helene), and Anthony. Loving grandmother of Jimmy (Alayna), TJ (Sara), Alyssa (Matt), and Brooke (Vince), Matthew and Isabella. Proud great-grandmother of Kylie, James, Jude, Eva, and Rafael. Dear sister-in-law of Joanne Malia and Stephanie Abbonizio.

Leita’s loved gardening, baking, dancing, reading books, traveling and most of all her family. Leita would always greet you with a smile and welcomed everyone to her table for Sunday dinners. Whenever you needed someone to talk to, Leita was there to listen. Simple pleasures filled her day like spending time in the kitchen, laundry and listening to Patsy Cline. A one of a kind woman that will be missed.

Leita never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes there will be no service, only a private memorial for immediate family.

My deepest sympathies to the Abbonizio family and to all Leita’s friends. She was such a beautiful kind person and I was privileged to help care for her. I will forever miss and love her.
