Leesa J. Gerdeman

(nee Burklew) On August 17, 2026, of Washington Twp. Age 63. Devoted mother of Andrew Gerdeman (Meghan). Loving grandmother of Molly, Michael, and James. Beloved daughter of Richard and Sara Burklew. Dear sister of Richard Burklew (Karen).

Leesa grew up in North Baltimore, Ohio where she was a cheerleader for her high school.  She then attended University of Toldeo. Following her graduation, she spent many years working for Johnson and Johnson and for the past five years has worked for the Gift of Life Donor program where she helped countless families through their own grief and at the same time, helped save lives.  She was a dedicated and hard worker throughout her life. She enjoyed trips to Brigantine Beach every summer. 

An amazing daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and Dog Mom, her family was always most important to her.  She was so proud of her son and his military service, with her front garden always decorated with American flags.  She loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world and always made their birthdays and holidays special.  Most recently,  her grandchildren went with her to adopt her dog Harper who is now enjoying the chaotic life of living with three kids. 

We would like to thank the Washington Township Police Department, EMS and Fire Department for assisting our family during our time of need.

Leesa’s life will be honored and remembered privately by her family.
