Laura Valocik

(nee Pavlich) On July 22, 2026, of Mullica Hill, formerly of Southampton. Age 82. Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Valocik. Devoted mother of Lora Myers (Brian) and Andrea Startare (Brian). Loving Nana and Nanny of Jamie, Jacob, Chase and Braydon. Dear sister of June Valocik (Frank) and Paula Pearson (Raymond).

Laura was born in Philadelphia, PA and was raised in the hills of Belliare, OH. She resided in Southampton, NJ, for over forty years.  She eventually retired in Mullica Hill, to be closer to her girls and grandchildren.

Laura worked full-time at Cherokee High School as an Administrative Assistant and enjoyed a successful twenty-five plus, year career. Laura loved spending time with her late husband Rich, whom she was married to for 59 years. She adored her two girls and doted on her grandchildren left and right. She had many hobbies and interests, but absolutely no more than making their family house a home. She loved decorating each room with a theme. Chickens in the kitchen, eagles in the living room, outhouses in the bathroom, clotheslines in the laundry. Every room in the home had her special touch. She was a welcoming and loving woman who was right out of a Norman Rockwell painting. She loved to cross-stitch, read, shopping, soap operas and playing Bunco with her family and friends. While all of this was happening, her favorite music was always filling the air. She was also very involved with her Methodist church in Vincentown.  She thoroughly enjoyed hosting the holidays and always took care of everyone else first, before even thinking of herself.

Her greatest love of all was her four grandchildren. She spoiled them silly and loved every minute of it. She didn’t miss a dance recital, a sporting event or an award ceremony. She cherished those summer afternoon barbeques, surrounded by all of those that she loved and loved her back even more. She was the true definition of a wonderful person. All that knew Laura, loved her kind spirit and thoughtfulness. She will be missed by many and remembered fondly, a friend to the end.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday 9:30-11:00 AM at Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Road, Medford.  Laura’s funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
