Roberta was a graduate of Collingswood High School and was a member of the girls basketball team. She was nicknamed Rabbit, because although she was small, she was fast. She was proud that they once won 89 games in a row. Roberta also graduated from Pierce College. She was employed as the Executive Secretary to the President of Whitman Chocolates in Philadelphia, until she married the love of her life, Charlie Greene. She then became a full-time homemaker. Charlie and Roberta lived in North Carolina, Ohio, and New York, before returning to NJ where they settled in Turnersville and raised their children. Roberta loved children, especially the little ones. She later returned to the workforce and was an assistant teacher at St. John’s Nursery school for several years. After retiring, Roberta and Charlie enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family and friends. They were active members of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Turnersville for many years, where Roberta was known as, “Bobbie”. Roberta enjoyed playing Dominoes with her St. John’s friends, as well as many other outings. She also enjoyed doing word books to keep her mind sharp. Her favorite thing to eat was anything sweet! Roberta will be remembered as a very kind, loving and giving person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
