Aunt Josie Guarnere- Dean, your experience is out of order loss, profound grief. My heart aches for you Aunt Josie. This one hits hard for me. For someone who writes, I haven’t found comfort when touching the topic of grief. .. But I think I’m getting there because I’m attempting to channel love through honoring Lance’s legacy. I’m holding onto the sacred place of memories I have with him. There are some who bring great LIGHT to this world, that even after they are gone, the light remains. THAT IS LANCE. I love Lance , and will honor the amusing memories we have treasured as we shared them. Singing. Dancing. Lance was always so playful. We laughed a lot together him and I. Here is the challenging part… I’m sorry for you Aunt Josie. I invite you to take a moment to understand I’m here to support you. You can be angry and sad. Gratitude is nuisance when it comes to grief, I imagine some days it’s impossible to on earth it. I’m so sorry for your loss. And forevermore, I treasure my space in time here on earth with Lance. He was always an inspiration to me, and I believe all of us girls. Always singing, dancing and enjoying the elements of life. I’m here today, for you. To acknowledge your loss and continue to offer my presence. Lance will be loved , remembered and celebrated.. for all time. Danielle ‘ Somewhere out there beneath the pale Moonlight someone’s thinking of me and loving me tonight’

Aunt Josie and Uncle Rick, there are no words that can take your pain away. Another piece of my heart was taken when Lance passed away. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal"! I have lots of memories of Lance and I growing up together. My memories begin on Croskey Street and travel through to your home in Bellmawr, my home in Millbridge, our Atlantic City days, your current home now and my home in Sicklerville. We had a bond that was very special. We never had a disagreement always cherished our times together and were there for each other whenever needed. Lance loved his family and friends and was a genuine man with a heart of gold. When my sister Gina was sick Lance was right by her side almost every night. I remember him bringing her funnel cake fries and she loved them. Well, that's all Lance needed to see...he went and bought her those funnel cake fries for the next couple of weeks. You see if Lance knew you liked something or wanted to go somewhere he would make it happen. Unfortunately, he became sick a couple years after Gina passed. He was a fighter and determined to get better so he could continue to live his life as he should. Life doesn't always work out the way we expect it to. His life was taken way to soon and so unexpected. I was able to fulfill a few of his wishes before he passed. Michael and I were honored to take him to Knife and Fork for Lobster Thermador which he always wanted to try. We had such a great evening. Lance was in good spirits we had great conversation and just enjoyed each others company. Michael was able to make him a dish he never had before and wanted to try bolognese sauce with pasta. One night while I was visiting Lance he was handing out gifts to his Aunt La, Aunt JoJo, and me. He had made special pens that said, "Thank you for being you and caring about my health~Lance" He also had special cooper pennies with crosses on them, and gemstones with sayings that he had picked out special for all of us. I will cherish all these special gifts and memories and I hold them close to my heart for they do give me strength when I think of him. I pray everyday that Lance is up above with all our loved ones and I pray they are all together. Aunt Josie and Uncle Rick I keep you both in my thoughts and prayers everyday and pray for the strength to get you through this most difficult time. Sending all my love and hugs to you and know I'm always here if you need me! Love, Carolyn and Michael

Lance , my beloved son, you left an impact on everyone who loved you to last a lifetime. Having to pick myself up and continue the rest of my days without you is excruciating. I will never get to hug you again, never get to kiss you again, never hear your voice again. This is absolutely impossible. I won’t be able to move on like normal ever again. This is a pain that will last a lifetime. I forever will have a hole in my heart without you. You are the epitome of strength, bravery, and inspiration, always a smile even with all the pain you were in this last year. You are my hero and mommy will be with you forever. I’ll never smile again until I smile again at you, Lance, my beloved son.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To My Dearest Godchild Lance, I am lighting a candle in memory of you today as I have lit more candles for you through your illness in the last five years and many prayers. To me you were the most thoughtful, generous, caring, loving person I ever knew. You never forgot a holiday, birthday and if someone was in need you were there especially when your cousin Gina Marie was sick. I will never forget that kindness as long as I live. As your Uncle John Barone wrote your HEART was as big as the state of Texas and he hit the nail on the head what a quality you had. My heart is broken by your passing and I will keep you in my heart and prayers until the day I take my last breath. Every life has a trail of memories and your life Lance had the most attributes, such as your thoughtfulness, caring for others, and your love for your family. Rest In Peace my precious Godchild now you are an Angel. Love you, Aunt Jojo

Josie, Rick, Lance Sr and Chris. It was an honor to take part in helping care for Lance when he was in need. Thank you for letting me help and for the time it allowed me to spend with him. We managed to turn many of those trips to the doctors and hospitals into fun trips. We blasted our music and sang along like we used to in the past. We laughed ,joked around and told each other stories which helped make those unpleasant visits a lot easier to take. He was kind, generous thoughtful and loving and his spirit will always be with us never to be forgotten. I know how much he loved his Aunt Caroline and I will never ever forget how thoughtful he was towards her while she was sick even though he himself was sick too. Not only was he a wonderful nephew but he was also a wonderful friend. I miss him terribly. My prayers are with him and with all of you. John
