I have watched Kyle grow up through the years from when my boys were on his brother's baseball team that his dad coached to just a few months ago when I cleaned his teeth. What I remember most is his smile. It could light up a whole room! I also remember him talking about how happy he was with his life being engaged and working as a police officer. My heart goes out to all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Judi DeYoung

I remember Kyle has being a hard worker and a leader. He was one of the hardest working guys in the wrestling room from middle school to our senior year. He was a good person and played a major part in making everyone on our team a better wrestler. When I heard the news I teared up. RIP Kyle

My condolences to you and your family. I first met Kyle as a cute little blond-headed boy of about 3 or 4. He was in my daughter's class throughout school and was a good friend to her. He always had a smile on his face. My heart breaks for the entire family and the family of his fiancée. You are in my prayers. Best, Louann Cromley-Altbaum
Tom left a message on January 2, 2016:
I remember meeting Kyle in 7th grade as a fresh new drummer with his best friend Andrew. He did some recordings at my house and always shared some laughs. Years later and recently I ran into him when he was working security at Rowan University and I was there tracking drums. He was so full of life and positivity. We talked for a little bit about life, what we were up to, and old times. He had grown into such an honorable man and I remember leaving that conversation so impressed with his growth and positivity. Rest In Peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I vividly recall playing Little League baseball with Kyle for our 11 and 12 year old seasons on the Indians over at Church Street. Lost in all his wrestling success was how skilled of a third basemen he was, and an even better teammate. My favorite memory, however, was the number of females who would attend our games solely to watch him. Though I don't personally know Gianna, I have little doubt Kyle had a hard time bringing a smile to her face. I can attest that Kyle led by example from a young age and clearly exemplified these characteristics through high school and beyond. It saddens me that the SJ community lost a truly remarkable individual. My deepest sympathies go out to Kyle's family. -Tom Macaluso

The picture I posted will always be how I will remember Kyle. He was a sweet loving child whose smile would brighten up your day. Being close friends with my children Kyle was over my home quite often. He and my daughter Kristin were “partners in crime” at age 3. They loved driving his mother and myself crazy. There are no words to express the heartfelt sorrow that we feel for all of you. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. ~The Valaitis Family

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Kyle. I unfortunately never knew the man however I did have the honor of watching him Graduate from the Police Academy in July, My son also graduated in that class. I can not begin to tell you of the heartbreak in his voice when he called me that morning to tell me the news, He was torn in half. He made a lifelong friend in Kyle, Someone who he enjoyed being around and the phone calls between shifts they shared. The Thin Blue Line lost a soldier but his memory will live on forever to those who knew him best. Dennis Felsing Father of Ptlm. Jason Felsing Lower Township Police Dept.
