Mark A Checki left a message on April 17, 2022:
I umpired with Mark once. He seemed like such a good man and the obituary paints a picture of the essence of a man. He lived his life well and had so much to offer to so many people. As a TSEUA member, I look forward to contributing to his memorial fund for the benefit of future umpires. I remembered his explanation of his having cancer and that he was in remission and could return to umpiring. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family and the entire Williamstown baseball community as well as those he touched. .

Chris Conley left a message on April 7, 2022:
I am so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. It was around 40 years ago I met Mark when he was a camp counselor and I was a "camper" at Summer Playground in Cornwall, NY. Of course, I knew who Mark was before this (everyone knew Mark) but I really didn't KNOW him until the first summer of camp I spent with him. Days at camp were filled with wiffle ball and kick ball games, tossing the frisbee, football, etc. and laughing...always having a good time. The dude knew how to have good time whatever he was doing. While I never really got close to Mark due to our age difference he ALWAYS made a point to talk to me when he saw me...and the conversation was natural, as if we were the best of friends. Donna, Justin and Max - please accept my condolences as you go through this tough time.

Donna, Justin and Max:Please accept my condolences on the loss of Keeg. We met at CCHS starting back in the 8th grade when I moved from New Windsor to Cornwall. We became friends right away. Certain people just stand out and Mark was a guy who lit up a room anywhere he went. Quite an athlete as well no matter what sport. We bowled in junior leagues at Bowling Time. He was a natural at it, could average 200 in his sleep with that left handed curve. I adored his parents too, Mama Anne was always around Cornwall and Dad Kevin was a great man as well. They are all together in Heaven but it's a tremendous loss for the people who knew him. RIP Mark, we love you and will miss you.

I know you are up there golfing and umping in heaven. I miss you and love you! Love, Elizabeth

I didn't know Mark or his boys but remember Donna very well from The New Life Chorale when we all were a little younger. You miss out on keeping up with friends when you move out of an area, and I have missed continued friendships with so many, like Donna. Facebook was good for bringing people back into your life and for that, I'm grateful. Donna and family: you have my love and prayers for your future, Paul Priore

Mark was a huge part of our families friendship . At a younger age I “ watched over “ Mark when Kevin and Anne would go out to different functions with the firehouse where our families were members . Mark came to meet my granddaughter who was also battling cancer in Philly when we had to stay there for a month of treatment . He said he admired her courage and was trying to be as courageous . You fought a hell of a fight Mark and I admire your strength . Your family was your whole life . You lit up when you spoke of them . You will be missed . Big hugs to your wonderful family . I’m thinking of you all .

Sorry to hear about Mark. We worked together years ago at Hilti. He was a great mentor while we worked together. Mark always brought the energy and life to the party. I am truly sorry for his family during these tough times. I lost my mother when she was 52 years young and it just isn’t fair. My thoughts and prayers are with the Keegan family.
