Kathleen “Kate” Norton, age 76, of Langhorne, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025.
Devoted mother of Kimberly Bellopede (Dan) and Melissa Kraft (Bill). Loving grandmother of Victoria (Mark), Billy, Nia, Emily, and Nicholas. Proud great-grandmother of Eloise. Dear sister of Fr. Robert Nolan, S.A.C., and the late AnnaMarie O’Mara.
Born in Philadelphia, Kate dedicated her life to family and friendship. In the 1980s, she proudly served as a Philadelphia police officer and was part of the department’s first all-female graduating class. After her time with the police department, Kate went on to work in accounts receivable before retiring.
Kate found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved vacationing at the beach with her family, cheering on the Phillies, and gathering for family game nights. She enjoyed reading, watching old TV shows and movies, and listening to music. When her daughters were young, they could often hear Barry Manilow playing loudly through the house as they came home from school.
She was known for her love of cooking and preparing big meals for family and friends. Her gravy, chicken and dumplings, and famous antipasto salads were always a huge hit. In addition to cooking, Kate was a talented baker. During Christmas, you could always find her in the kitchen—towel over her shoulder, flour on her hands—making her famous pizzelles.
Kate cherished the time she spent with her sister, Annamarie, and brother, Bob. The three of them loved sitting around the table, playing cards, laughing, and sharing stories.
Above all, Kate adored her daughters, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchild, who brought endless pride and joy into her life. She loved cheering them on in everything they did and treasured every moment spent together—whether it was sharing a meal, celebrating milestones, or simply talking and laughing. They were the light of her life, and her love and warmth will live on through them.
Kate will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday 8:45 – 10:15 am at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Road, Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, Washington Twp. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
